At least 13 foreigners were injured on July 13 when the coach they were travelling in overturned on the Co Ma mountain pass in the central province of Khanh Hoa.

The coach, carrying 20 foreigners including Belgian, English, American, Israeli and French tourists along with 10 Vietnamese people, was on its way to Nha Trang City from Hue City.

According to provincial police, three of the injured were taken to Khanh Hoa General Hospital suffering from serious injuries, while the others were treated at Van Ninh District Hospital.

This accident caused a heavy traffic jam on Highway 1A, with thousands of cars waiting to cross the mountain pass.

The accident is thought to have happened after the coach hit a large pothole.-VNA
