Hanoi (VNA) – After Vietnam’s Olympic team beatBahrain to win a ticket to the ASIAD quarter-finals, many travel companies inHanoi have promptly designed tours to bring Vietnamese fans to Indonesia tosupport the players on August 27.

Local football lovers are excited as this is the first timeVietnam’s male football squad has entered the quarter-finals of the Asian Games(ASIAD).

To meet the travel demand to Indonesia, a number of travelcompanies have coordinated with air carriers to launch direct flights betweenHanoi and the country.

Vietravel’s Hanoi branch has joined hands with nationalflag carrier Vietnam Airlines to deploy an exclusive direct flight betweenHanoi and Jakarta on August 27 to serve 100 fans, according to Pham Van Banh, deputydirector of Vietravel’s Hanoi branch.

Apart from the airfare, the tour package with a cost from15.99 million VND (700 USD) also covers a ticket to the quarter-finals,transportation fees, food, and a tour guide, he said, adding that the companyalso will provide passengers with cheerleading uniforms and banners.

Other companies like Golden Tour, Hanoi Red Tour, Avitour,Elite Tour, and New Tour are also ready to transport Vietnamese fans toIndonesia for the match.

Vietnam’s Olympic team won 1- 0 againstBahrain during the last stages of the 16-team knockout round for the men’sfootball of the ASIAD in Indonesia on August 23.

The goal, described as “more valuable than gold”by many fans and commentators, was scored by Nguyen Cong Phuong, wearing jerseynumber 9, at the 88th minute. 

The squad will face Syria inthe quarter-finals at 7:30pm Vietnamese time on August 27.–VNA
