A rice and trade-tourism promotion fair opened in the southern province of Tra Vinh on November 12, kick-starting the traditional Ok Om Bok festival – a moon worshipping occasion for the Khmer ethnic minority in Vietnam.
Up to 400 booths are exhibiting a wide variety of rice, farming machinery, craft products and key consumer goods, brought about by over 200 firms in and outside the locality.
Businesses have also come to seek trade partners and learn about local business incentives.
The six-day fair comes as a response to the campaign “Vietnamese use Vietnamese goods”.-VNA
