Cambodia’s 2012 import-export turnover hit 13.626 billion USD, up 19 percent from the year before, reported the Cambodian Ministry of Trade.
The country predominantly exported garments and textiles, and agro-forestry-aquatic products to the US, EU, Canada and China, for a total value of 5.487 billion USD, a rise of 12.5 percent from 2011.
Its imports were oil and gas, constructed materials, and household commodities from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and China, which were worth 8.139 billion USD, a year-on-year surge of 23 percent.
The World Bank forecasts that Cambodia would make a GDP growth rate of 6.7 percent in 2013, and increase it to 10 percent in the next five years.-VNA
