Trade surplus at 15.23 billion USD in first seven months
Vietnam’s total import-export turnover of goods hit 374.23 billion USD in the first seven months of this year, with the country posting a trade surplus of some 15.23 billion USD.
In the first six months of this year, the total import-export value reached 316.65 billion USD, down 15.2% year-on-year. Vietnam's trade surplus was estimated at 12.25 billion USD in the period.
The US has concluded its investigation into Vietnam’s alleged import and use of timber illegally harvested or traded, and removed Vietnam from its currency manipulation list. After the move, the trade relations between the two countries are enjoying stronger growth.
