On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down by 0.8 percent to433.97 points. The value of trades eased by 50 billion VND (2.4 millionUSD) from Sept. 27’s level to just over 647 billion VND (31.3 millionUSD) on a volume of 37.6 million shares.
Blue chipstumbled, with most of the 10 leading shares by capitalisation losingvalue. Food processor Masan Group (MSN) and insurer Bao Viet Holdings(BVH) each slumped by nearly 4 percent. Vietcombank (VCB) rose to itsceiling price of 27,900 VND per share, while Sacombank (STB), dairyproducer Vinamilk (VNM) and software giant FPT each advanced by 0.7-1percent./.
