Traffic accidents kill 12 on second day of New Year
Twenty road accidents took place on January 2 nationwide, causing 12 deaths and injured 13 others.

No accidents were recorded on the rail and water ways.
In Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and neighbouring localities, traffic order and safety during the day are guaranteed, without traffic jams and serious traffic accidents.
To ensure traffic safety and social order for the end of the year, New Year, and Lunar New Year holidays, and spring festivals, the police in 63 localities has so far examined, detected and handled 5,936 cases of violation and issued fines worth nearly 6 billion VND (262,524 USD)./.
