In the first three months, traffic police across the country have handled nearly 998,000 violation cases, collecting a total administrative fine of 577 billion VND (27.1 million USD) and detaining 6,300 cars and nearly 115,000 motorbikes .

During a recent conference, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked ministries and authorities to tighten the management of transportation services and vehicle capacity, devise plans to curb traffic accidents in rural areas and name and shame traffic violators on the media.-VNA
