Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong hosted a reception in Hanoi on June 3 for Deputy General Director of Turkey’s Anadolu news agency Mustafa Ozkaya.

Deputy General Director of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Le Duy Truyen also attended the reception.

Hong highly valued the cooperation between Anadolu and VNA over the past years as well as the significance of a cooperation agreement recently signed between the two news agencies.

He expressed his firm belief that news released by VNA and Anadolu will be welcomed by the two peoples, and Anadolu will further extend journalistic ties with Vietnam.

Ozkaya, for his part, hailed the signing of the VNA – Anadolu cooperation agreement as a contribution to increasing their exchange and use of truthful news about regional and global matters, particularly each country’s internal affairs without using news by a third country.

Anadolu will open more representative offices in countries and cities having direct flight routes to Turkey, he said, adding that he hopes to facilitate the exchange of reporters with foreign partners, contributing to diversifying sources of information.

The guest told his host that it is the first time he has visited Hanoi and he will share memories of his visit with Turkish people upon his return.-VNA
