Two foreigners distinguished for charity work
The Danang University on Dec. 8
presented honorary Doctorates to two foreign experts for their work
with poor patients in central Vietnam.
Prof. Dr.
Heinrich Netz from the Munich Hospital of Germany and Irene Lejeune,
President of the Heart-to-Heart Foundation, have undertaken
unprecedented efforts to raise funds and transfer technology to help
save the lives of cardiac patients living in poverty in the central
region.
They have travelled around the world to raise over 1 million USD to buy advanced equipment and technology for the Danang Hospital.
The duo have worked with the Heart-to-Heart Foundation to provide surgery and medical treatment for over 500 cardiac patients and have conducted training courses on treating heart disease for medical doctors and students./.
