The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s Navy returned two rounds of shots after one shell fired by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) fell near disputed maritime border in the western sea, local media on Aug. 10 quoted military source as saying.

The DPRK fired two artillery shots toward the Northern Limit Line (NLL) in the Yellow Sea at around 7:46 p.m. (local time) and one of the shots fell near the disputed sea border.

This was the second artillery shells exchange between the two Koreas on August 10. The first one took place at around 1:00 p.m (local time) when the RoK Navy returned three warning shots after one shell defined to be fired by the DPRK fell near the disputed border in the Yellow Sea./.
