Two medical workers test positive for COVID-19
Two nurses from Hanoi-based Bach Mai Hospital have become the first medical workers in Vietnam to test positive for SARS-CoV-2, said the Ministry of Health on March 20 afternoon.
They are the 86th and 87th COVID-19 patients in Vietnam.
The 86th patient is a 54-year-old female nurse who had close contact with the 87th patient as they met each other in the elevator, had lunch and a nap together.
The 87th patient is a female, 34-year-old nurse. She works at the reception of the Tropical Diseases Centre’s quarantine area under Bach Mai Hospital.
Two of them are under quarantine at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases No. 2 in Dong Anh District.
All people in contact with the 86th and 87th patients have also been quarantined. The affected areas were sterilised./.
