The H.T.M.S Taksin and H.T.M.S Chaophraya ships, belonging to the Royal Thai Naval Academy, docked at Da Nang city’s Tien Sa port on April 27.
Present at a ceremony to welcome 565 officers and sailors from both ships were leaders of the Da Nang city’s People’s Committee, representatives of the External Relations Department and other units from the Ministry of National Defence.
Also on hand were Thai Ambassador to Vietnam Piamu Chanvitan and military attaché Colonel Wipaks Noichinda.
During their visit, the ships’crew will meet with the city’s leaders, play a friendly volleyball match against the Military Zone C’s naval team and go on a sightseeing tour of the city organised by the Prroshipser company.
Both ships will depart from the city on April 29./.
