Exports of tra fish to the UK rose 43 percent in value in the first six months compared to the same period last year, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

Tra fish exports to the European market dropped to 129.6 million USD, falling by 16.8 percent compared to the same period last year.

The UK is the fourth largest importer of Vietnamese tra fish in the EU, after Spain, the Netherlands and Germany, according to VASEP.

Exports of tra fish to the market soared by 97.8 percent in January compared to the same period last year, and grew from 12–60.5 percent from February to May.

VASEP forecasts a positive outlook for tra fish exports to the UK this year due to the market's stable demand and high prices.-VNA
