Vietnam's Under-19 players Pham Duc Huy and Do Duy Manh will test their skills in Japan on December 17, where football is played at the top level of Asia.

The midfielders are among a group of young players who have been invited to try out in the country.

"This is really a good opportunity for us. We will take advantage of it to prove ourselves," said Huy, who is a member of the Hanoi FC.

Huy and Duc will try out at the J-League 2's Consadole Sapporo club, where Vietnamese Le Cong Vinh previously played on a four-month contract.

They will return to Vietnam on December 21, training for an international four-side tournament in Ho Chi Minh City in January.

Apart from Vietnamese, Noppanon Kachaplayuk and Surawich Logarwith of Thailand, as well as Ruben Karel Sandi, Syakir Sulaiman and Irfan Bachdim of Indonesia, will test at Vegalta Sendai and Ventforet Kofu clubs.

J-League launched a policy in 2014 stating that every team could field a Vietnamese player as a local player.-VNA
