Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December, marking the day in 1948 when the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Over the years, Vietnam has actively participated in human rights protection activities led by the UN and international organisations.

Throughout the history, Vietnam has shown the world that it has always focused on the people in all development policies.

The UN Human Rights Council (HRC) on April 3 adopted a resolution proposed and drafted by Vietnam to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and the 30th anniversary of the Vienna Declaration and Programme of Action (VDPA).

Indonesia has underlined the importance of cooperation to strengthen the commitment to upholding human rights, towards a more just, equal, and inclusive world in line with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 75 years ago, the Indonesian foreign ministry said on its website.
