The centre also celebrated the completion of the restoration of three altars sponsored by the US Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation, worth 30,000 USD (640 million VND), since January 2014.

Trieu To temple was built in 1804 to worship the first ancestors of the Nguyen Dynasty, Nguyen Kim and his wife.

It is an important site in the southeast of the Hue Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Over 200 years of wars and dreadful weather conditions in Hue have severely damaged the ancient building.-VNA
