The Ballroom Dance Company from the Brigham Young University, a leading art troupe from the US, is due to perform in Hanoi and Da Nang city from May 12-14.
Deputy Director of the Vietnam Opera and Ballet Theatre Pham Hong Hai said the 50-strong troupe is expected to leave great impressions on local audiences for creative and lively performances of different dances, from waltz to samba, foxtrot and hustle.
The troupe brings along tonnes of equipment and over 300 sets of colourful costumes in service of its performances on a tour of eight cities of Vietnam and Thailand in April and May.
Since its foundation in 1982, the Ballroom Dance has won 27 US championships and 12 international titles.
Since 1970, the troupe has paid performance trips to 35 nations worldwide, marked with its performance at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic-2008./.
