The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) will provide a non refundable aid worth over 593,000 USD to Ho Chi Minh City to help upgrade and manage its water supply system.

An agreement on the aid was signed by Robert Ogburn, Acting General Consul of the US in Ho Chi Minh City and Tran Dinh Phu, General Director of Sai Gon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO) on Sept. 7 in the city.

The assistance will be used to promote SAWACO’s IT-based effective management of the city’s water supply system.

This is the second time USTDA has supported SAWACO to achieve its goal of supplying clean water to all citizens.

SAWACO produces more than 1.2 million cu. m of clean water every day. Through the assistance, the corporation plans to ensure the supply of clean water to more than 550,000 households.-VNA
