Nine environmentally friendly energy projects in Indonesia will be financed by the US with a total investment worth more than 370 million USD.

The projects were selected through the Indonesian Clean Energy Investor Forum held in Jakarta on June 26, the Indonesian news agency (Antara) reported.

The Forum is presenting projects contested in a competition sponsored by The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Private Finance Advisory Network (PFAN).

According to USAID, the investment for the projects is loans and equity funding.

In addition to helping offer promising investment opportunities, the projects also have potential to cut greenhouse effect gas emission amounting to more than one million metric tonnes of carbon dioxide annually, USAIDS added/.
