US organisation assists people with HIV/AIDS

The US non-profit organisation Pact has financed a project to mitigate HIV/AIDS impacts on people living with HIV/AIDS and their families in Hanoi ’s inner Hai Ba Trung and Dong Da districts.
The US non-profit organisation Pact has financed a project to mitigateHIV/AIDS impacts on people living with HIV/AIDS and their families inHanoi ’s inner Hai Ba Trung and Dong Da districts.

The 60,955USD project will equip people living with HIV/AIDS and their families inthe two districts with home-care skills and necessary knowledge toavoid from being infected.

It will help the infected gain access to health care services and ARV treatments.

By April 30, Hanoi has had files of 20,954 drug users, who are in the high-risk group of HIV/AIDS infection./.

Phuc Son Group Chairman sentenced to 30 years in prison in major corruption trial

Nguyen Van Hau, Chairman and CEO of Phuc Son Group, was charged with giving bribes and violating bidding and accounting regulations, causing serious consequences. He received a combined jail sentence of 30 years - 14 years for bribery, nine years for the bidding violation, and seven years for accounting irregularities.
