US Secretary of State holds press conference during meaningful visit to Vietnam

The visit of Secretary Blinken comes at a time when the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and the United States continues to flourish, thanks to the strong foundation established and nurtured by both countries over the past 28 years.

On the evening of April 14th, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken's plane landed at Noi Bai International Airport, marking the start of his first visit to Vietnam as the US Secretary of State, upon the invitation of Vietnamese Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.

The visit comes at a time when the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and the United States continues to flourish, thanks to the strong foundation established and nurtured by both countries over the past 28 years.

This visit holds special significance as 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Comprehensive Partnership between the two nations (2013-2023).

The event highlights the US's commitment to valuing the Comprehensive Partnership with Vietnam and its dedication to further enhancing bilateral relations in the spirit of the 2013 Comprehensive Partnership and the 2015 Joint Vision Statement on Vietnam-US relations.

As part of his visit, Secretary Blinken held a press conference at the US Embassy in Hanoi to provide assessments of the bilateral relationship and discuss prospects for future cooperation./.
