The US has hailed the Thai government's recent attempts to solve human trafficking problems, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said.

The ministry’s Permanent Secretary Seehasak Puangketkaew said after a recent meeting in New York with the US Deputy Minister overseeing Asia Pacific region that the US hopes to cooperate with Thailand in keeping peace and stability in the region.

The US still sees Thailand as it partner not only for the two countries' common interest but also for the regional benefits, he said, adding the country is also looking forward to tightening relationship with Thailand .-VNA
