Meeting with the Vietnamesebusiness community as part of his visit to Vietnam from December14-17, Kerry praised the positive development of the Vietnam-USrelations, noting that bilateral trade has grown steadily from 55,000USD in 1995 to 25 billion USD currently.
He also said thedynamic operation of the two countries’ chambers of commerce andindustry has contributed to boosting bilateral trade links.
The two sides are on the right track to bring trade links to a higher level, he said.
The US has initially provided 4.2 million USD for its relevantagencies to work out programmes on building a strategic partnershipbetween the two sides.
