The VNPT-run Vietnam Data Communications Company (VDC) will increase its broadband Internet capacity to over 100 Gpbs by the end of 2010 to consolidate the leading position held by its MegaVNN service in Vietnam, said a company representative.

Next year, VDC will focus on improving its value added services, including Mega E-learning, Mega Share, Mega Web, Mega TV, Mega E-school and Mega E-meetings.

At present, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group’s (VNPT) VNN network has a capacity of 45 Gpbs, which accounts for over 70 percent of the country’s total.

Between 2006-2009, MegaVNN was selected as the most popular ADSL service by the readers of Vietnam’s PC World Magazine. The service also won several awards at the 2008 ICT Awards hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communications./.
