Hanoi (VNA) – The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) is willing to share its experience with the Vietnam Fatherland Front, as the two organisations have similar functions and tasks, thus tightening the relationship between the two countries, a senior Chinese official has said.

Visiting CPPCC Vice Chairman Wan Gang made the affirmation at a meeting with President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan in Hanoi on December 4.

Wan Gang expressed the hope that the two sides can push links, especially exchanges between scientists and cooperation in fostering creativeness and start-ups.

VFF Central Committee President Nguyen Thien Nhan affirmed the Vietnamese Party, State, and the VFF treasure cooperation and friendship with their Chinese counterparts, adding that along with economic ties, the two countries should step up people-to-people exchange and cooperation in other fields.

He also suggested stronger exchange between residents in the two nations’ border localities, especially youths.

Nguyen Thien Nhan hoped the Chinese side will share experience in fighting corruption, and in organising movements to promote creativeness and startup spirit among young people.

Previously, Vice President and General Secretary of the VFF Tran Thanh Man held talks with CPPCC Vice Chairman Wan Gang, during which the two sides discussed the organisation of friendship exchanges between Vietnamese localities’ VFF chapters with China, which will be chaired by the VFF and the CPPCC.

They stressed the need to work closer and further promote the role played by the two organisations in enhancing connectivity in economy, culture, education, sci-technology between Vietnam and  China, and expand friendship exchanges between their chapters at different levels, towards fostering the two countries' cooperation in a more practical manner and the prompt settlement of issues existing in bilateral ties.-VNA
