Thien Nhan on July 27 presented gifts to needy children in Phu Quoc
island district, the southern province of Kien Giang.
Among 113 recipients, 13 are children of officers from the High Command of Naval Zone 5.
Those living with life-threatening diseases received 3 million VND each (142 USD) while others were given 500,000 VND (23 USD).
On the occasion, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children donated over 1.2 billion VND (50,000 USD) to local underprivileged children.-VNA
