The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has reached an agreement to renew Chinese coach Chen Yun Fat's contract to lead the national women's football team.

The VFF will soon sign an 18-month contract with Chen, who helped Vietnam win the ASEAN's Women Football Championship 2012 in HCM City.

Further details of the contract have not been revealed, but Chen's salary is likely to be more than the 3,000 USD per month he previously received.

Chen started working with the Vietnamese women's team in 2007 and helped them win the gold medal at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in 2009.

Chen's task is to help the team win gold at the upcoming SEA Games in Myanmar and will also work on helping Vietnam win a spot in the finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2015 in Canada.-VNA
