Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan received in Hanoi on August 5 Auditor General of Bhutan Dasho Ugen Chweqang.

The Vice Chairwoman highly valued the cooperation between the two auditing agencies of Vietnam and Bhutan, saying that they beefed up cooperative ties by exchanging high-level visits and sharing experience in public auditing.

The State Audit of Vietnam is drafting some amendments and supplements to the 2006 Law on State Auditing, expected to be submitted to the National Assembly in 2015, Ngan said.

She proposed the two auditing agencies share information and learn from each other to serve law amending work.

Ngan said she hopes for the two agencies’ further development, which will contribute to friendship and understanding between the two countries.

Auditor General Dasho Ugen Chewang said his working visit to Vietnam is to strengthen connection between the two auditing agencies.

He briefed the host on the outcomes of the talks between the two agencies, saying that both sides discussed orientations for future cooperation and agreed to focus on sharing experience in auditing work, information technology auditing in order to maintain and develop their fine links.

The official expressed his wish that the two sides will discuss possibility for partnership in auditing, personnel training, sharing expertise and bettering the auditing process and method of each side.-VNA
