Vietjet Air has officially announced its new flight routes between Vietnam and the RoK in a ceremony held as part of the visit of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the RoK.
Together with the two previously launched the Da Nang-Seoul and Hanoi-Seoul routes the airline plans to operate flights on the Hanoi-Busan as soon as possible and between Ho Chi Minh City and Seoul by 2015.
In recent years, the demand for flights between Vietnam and the RoK has increased significantly. For tourism purposes alone, 618,500 Koreans visited Vietnam during the first nine months of this year.
At present, VietJet Air’s network comprises over 27 domestic and international routes. In Vietnam, the carrier operates flights to most major cities and famous tourism destinations. The company is expanding its network to include flights to Bangkok (Thailand), Singapore, Seoul (the RoK), Cambodia and Taiwan (China)
The airline was launched in December 2011, making it the second private airline to offer domestic flights.-VNA
