The brand new Airbus A320, departing from Hamburg, Germany, landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Ho Chi Minh City at 7:50am.
It was purchased through a financing agreement signed between Vietjet Air and US-based GE Capital and Vietnam’s TP Bank.
Coded VN-A659, the aircraft was exclusively assembled for Vietjet Air by Airbus which features leather seats, elegant carpets and premium interior decoration.
This single aisle plane is the top best-selling aircraft in the world thanks to its advanced technology that allows airlines to reduce fuel consumption and operational costs.
The new aircraft brought the number of airplanes in Vietjet Air’s fleet to 19, enabling the airline to meet high travel demand during the upcoming Tet holiday.
Vietjet Air, based in Hanoi, currently operates 27 domestic and international routes.-VNA
