Vietnam’s budget carrier VietJet Air revealed air routes linking the Southeast Asian country with China on April 8, part of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s official visit to China.

The air routes will connect the Vietnamese central cities of Nha Trang and Da Nang with the Hangzhou and Kunming cities of China. Details of these routes will be updated on the airline’s website at www.vietjetair.com.

Vice Chairwoman of Vietnam’s National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said economic cooperation with countries around the world is increasingly important, and air transport serve as a mean to foster such collaboration.

She expressed her hope that with advantages in technology and personnel, VietJet Air will bring its strengths into play and provide world-class services.

The carrier has so far opened international air routes to Singapore, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan (China) and Cambodia, along with some 30 domestic routes.

It operates more than 150 flights a day, catering to 10 million passengers over the past three years.-VNA
