Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam had administered over 30.4 million doses of vaccines against COVID-19 by noon on September 14, according to data from the National Immunisation Portal.

From September 9-13, more than 1 million injections were performed each day.

Localities with the highest vaccination rates (number of injections/number of allocated vaccines) are Quang Ninh, Dong Thap, Binh Phuoc, Vinh Long, and Ca Mau.

In Hanoi, as of 6am on September 14, the city had administered 4.78 million doses, including 4.38 million first jab and 404,000 second jab. With more than 5.3 million doses of vaccines allocated, Hanoi has achieved 80.6 percent of the progress.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s current largest COVID-19 hotspot, has injected a total of more than 8.1 million doses, including 6.6 million first jab and 1.54 million second injection.

The Health Ministry has urged the two cities, and Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An to speed up their vaccination progress.
