Vietnam Airlines is offering five return flights between the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho and Taiwan (China) serving the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
With one return flight more from the same period in 2014, the move is to meet the demand of the Vietnamese in Taiwan who often return home for the largest traditional holiday, said Nguyen Phuc Dien, head of Vietnam Airlines Can Tho branch.
According to Dien, the direct flights will be conducted between Can Tho and Taiwan’s Taipei, Kaohsiung and Taichung, limited for February 6 – 28.
This is the sixth consecutive year the national carrier has launched the service.
