The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines conducted the first direct flight from Vietnam to Shanghai, China on March 28.
There will be three direct flights between Hanoi and Shanghai a week which will be on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday while the flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Shanghai will serve passengers every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday on the Airbus A321.
On the same day, Vietnam Airlines launched a new domestic air route from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong delta city of Can Tho and the southern resort island of Phu Quoc and vice versa.
The Ho Chi Minh City- Can Tho- Phu Quoc route has five flights per week./.
