The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VA) began to put into use the eastern terminal of the Tuy Hoa Airport on August 20.

Accordingly, passengers on VA flights to the central province of Phu Yen ’s Tuy Hoa city will make necessary procedures and go aboard at the new terminal in Phu Thanh award in place of the old one.

Between August 20-31, the Vietnam Airlines branch in the city has collaborated with the Tuy Hoa Airport to arrange their staff at the old terminal to offer guide to passengers.

Using 68-seat ATR 72 aircraft, Vietnam Airlines now provides 12 flights to Tuy Hoa city per week with five from Hanoi and seven from Ho Chi Minh City .

The inauguration of the new terminal is expected to help meet increasing demand for travel to Phu Yen, which welcomed 500,000 tourists last year.-VNA
