National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines has announced its plan to expand domestic flights during the Lunar New Year Festival, the biggest holiday of the year.
Accordingly, the carrier begins selling tickets for the period on October 2 in parallel with adding 835 flights between January 19 and February 14, 2014.
The route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, the most heavily trafficked flight path, will be serviced by a further 385 flights, 23 percent more than usual. An extra 218 flights will be scheduled to fly passengers between Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Flights on another seven domestic routes will also be added.
