Vietnam Airlines is expected to resume all flights connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to central Vietnam on September 30 as tropical storm Ketsana has abated.

As scheduled, Vietnam Airlines will not only keep its flights on routes affected by the storm unchanged but also increase flights on September 30 and Octorber 1 to meet the travel demands of passengers who have been stuck at the airports.

Previously, on September 28, Vietnam Airlines decided to cancel all flights for September 28 and 29 to and from the province of Thua Thien Hua and the city of Danang in central Vietnam due to the storm.

Airline official Luong Truong An said Vietnam Airlines usually has 32 return flights connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the central airports each day./.
