According to the Ministry of Health (MOH), by the end of February 2022, Vietnam has received more than 218 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

MOH has allocated 201.9 million doses for vaccination work.

The remaining doses of COVID-19 vaccine were received recently. So the MOH are carrying out procedures for quality control before shipping them out to vaccination sites.

According to statistics on the COVID-19 Immunization Portal, until 2:30 p.m. on March 1 Vietnam has administered nearly 195 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

On February 28, the whole country administered 1,345,407 doses of vaccine, much higher than the previous days.

The percentage of people with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd doses of vaccine were 100%, 98.4%5, and 37.4%, respectively.

The percentage of young people (from 12 - 17 years old) with 1st and 2nd doses of vaccine were 98.8% and 93.5%, respectively.

Until now, 61/63 provinces and cities in Vietnam have a vaccine coverage rate of over 90% for 2 doses of vaccine.

Only 2/63 provinces and cities have a coverage rate below 90%, which are Cao Bang and Binh Duong

The MOH has asked localities to continue vaccination work and keep up with the vaccination schedule

At the same time, localities need to convince people to continue vaccination

Local medical establishments have to check and administer vaccines, both standard doses and booster doses, for people over 50 years old and people with underlying diseases, who come to the establishments for regular health checking.

After the administration of standard doses, localities have to administer booster doses in the order of priority./.
