A top Vietnamese law-maker has asked Japan to continue assisting Vietnam in the field of human resources training in the coming time.
National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the request while receiving Chairman of the Japan’s International Manpower Development Organisation (IM Japan) Kyoei Yanagisawa in Hanoi on September 18.
She noted that human resources training is of special interest of both sides and stressed that trainees returning from Japan are a source of quality human resources for Vietnam ’s national development.
According to the legislator, Vietnam has sent around 20,000 trainees to Japan since 1992, including more than 1,000 selected by IM Japan.
For his part, the IM Japan chairman affirmed that Japan will do all it can to increase the number of Vietnamese students and trainees in the country.
He said the cooperation between ministries, sectors and businesses of both sides will make practical contributions to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship as well as the strategic partnership between the two countries.-VNA
