More than 30 Vietnamese enterprises joins 600 others from 54 countries and territories in showcasing their products at the Havana International Fair 2009 (FIHAV 2009), which opened in Havana, Cuba on Nov. 2.

Vietnam introduces a wide range of products from foodstuff, garment and textiles rattan and bamboo furniture, to electronics and light trucks.

Speaking at the fair’s opening ceremony, Minister for Foreign Trade and Investment Rodrigo Malmierca informed that Cuba is considering dozens of foreign investment projects from Brazil , Spain , Venezuela , China , Vietnam , Angola and Russia .

He said that foreign investors are most interest in tourism, oil and gas, mining, industry and information are attractive fields.

Cuba allowed foreign investors to enter the country since 1993. In recent years, the country gave priorities to major projects in industry by investors from allied countries, including Venezuela , China and Brazil./.
