Vietnam is exhibiting 200 books in English at the ongoing 38th International Book Fair in the Indian city of Kolkata.

The texts on show describe the historic and cultural lives of the Vietnamese people. In addition, a number of photographs have gone on display, capturing former President Ho Chi Minh’s visits to India.

A special Vietnamese bookstore, chaired by President of the India-Vietnam Solidarity Committee Geetesh Sharma, is attracting special attention of thousands of visitors.

The 12-day event, which opened on January 28 and is displaying books from 25 countries, has already been attended by over 200 writers, poets and an estimated 2 million visitors.

During the fair, Kolkata’s large annual cultural event, a Vietnamese delegation consisting of seven writers and poets, will attend the World Poetry Festival from February 5-8.-VNA
