At the event, the Vietnamese Ambassador underscored the essential role of kindergarten education as laying a solid foundation for the physical and mental development of children.

The Vietnamese Government is responsible for managing and providing investment for the pre-school education sector, prioritising early childhood education in remote and island regions with difficult socio-economic situations, while creating mechanisms and policies to encourage all economic sectors to invest in the field, Lan highlighted.

She also emphasised the need to enhance parents’ knowledge about education methods used in early child schooling.

During her stay in Monterrey, Ambassador Lan also met with General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party Alberto Anaya Gutierrez and Director of the Centres for Child Education (CENDI) Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez.-VNA
