Vietnam ’s language, culture and cuisine were exhibited at the 19th International Language Festival in the city of Tours , France .
During the two-day event, which concluded on November 25, two stalls manned by Vietnamese students in France and members of the Touraine-Vietnam Association attracted many visitors who enjoyed traditional food, dances with conical hats and a film documentary about the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival in Vietnam.
According to Jean Jacques Rousselle, President of the Touraine-Vietnam Association, the screening of films on Tet, the most important festival to Vietnamese people in the year, helps French and international friends better understand the unique culture of the country.
This year’s event featured 80 different languages with a total of 50 stalls hosted by 50 language associations, travel agencies, language training centres and friendship associations.-VNA
