The national round of the Microsoft Office World Champion 2010 contest began in six cities and provinces of Vietnam , including Hanoi , Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City , on June 20 with the participation of 35 universities nationwide.
This is the first time the contest has been held in Vietnam by the Ministry of Education and Training and the International Investment Group Vietnam (IIG).
Doan Hong Nam , IIG’s president said that the contest aims to create a healthy playground for students around the world to show off their capacities in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
The final round will be held in Hanoi , Da Nang , and HCM City on June 27 with two winners to represent Vietnam at the world final, scheduled for August 8-10 in the US . The winner will receive an award worth 6,500 USD and other valuable prizes.
