Vietnam attends Sri Lanka Freedom Party Congress

the 19th Congress of the Freedom Party of Sri Lanka, held in Colombo
recently.

the 19th Congress of the Freedom Party of Sri Lanka, held in Colombo

The congress passed resolutions on politics, economy, national solidarity and the foreign policies of the Freedom Party of Sri Lanka.
It affirmed the historical significance of the fight against terrorism and economic achievements in the circumstances of civil war and the global economic crisis.
The congress called on all walks of life and religions to consolidate to develop the country.
While in Sri Lanka , the Vietnamese delegation was received by Mahinda Rajapakse, State and Party President, who described the Vietnamese Party delegation’s presence at the Congress as a symbol of their country’s support for the Freedom Party of Sri Lanka’s national construction and development.
Nguyen Minh Quang expressed the wish that through the relationship between the two parties, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries would be promoted./.
