A delegation from Vietnam is attending the five-day congress of the
United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), which began on October 21 in
Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia.

The delegation, led by Nguyen The Trung, Deputy Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission, joined 21 other delegations from 20 countries across the world in the event.
They took a tour of Putrajaya’s administrative centre, various businesses, and several Malaysian cultural, fine art and handicrafts establishments.
The delegation also met with staff from Vietnam ’s Embassy and representative agencies in Malaysia , to brief them on current affairs in Vietnam , including Hanoi ’s 1,000th anniversary and the floods in the central region.
They then visited a number of Vietnamese guest workers in Malaysia to learn about their terms of employment and living conditions./.
