The V&H Corporation of Vietnam will build the Lower Sekong Hydro-Power Plant with a designed capacity of 80MW in Laos .

The V&H Corporation of Vietnam will build the Lower SekongHydro-Power Plant with a designed capacity of 80MW in Laos .

A memorandum of understanding on this project was signed in Vientiane on Aug. 26.

Signatorieswere Nguyen Van Minh, Deputy General Director of the Hoang Anh Gia LaiJoint Stock Company, representing V&H Corporation, and ThongmiPhomvisay, Lao Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment.

Currently,V&H Corporation is completing exploration and survey activities toreport to the Lao Government and implement the project.

Togetherwith Nam Cong Hydro Power Plants 2 and 3, the Lower Sekong Hydro-PowerPlant is expected to contribute to electricity generation, as well asjob placement, poverty reduction and budget contribution to Laos./.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has outlined three scenarios for 2027–2030. Vietnam's tourism sector faces labour shortage

A 2026 survey by Hoteljob.vn found that nearly 90% of tourism businesses planned to recruit. In Ho Chi Minh City alone, 89.7% of businesses were hiring, while 71.8% said recruitment was difficult or very difficult. The biggest shortages were among frontline workers, particularly in housekeeping, engineering, food service, front-office operations, and kitchens.
