A delegation from Cambodia’s Ministry of National Assembly–Senate Relations and Inspection, led by Secretary of State Sok Vilay, on June 3 joined a working session with the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam in Hanoi.

Speaking to the guests, Deputy Inspector General Le Thi Thuy said she is delighted at the effective cooperation between the two sides in recent years, adding that this significantly contributes to the traditional friendship between the two countries.

Sok Vilay thanked the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam for its support in training Cambodian inspection staff, expressing her hope that the two sides will continue further strengthening their ties in the future to implement cooperative agreements reached between them.

During the meeting, the host and guest also shared their experience in inspection work and in combating corruption, and discussed the building of the law on inspection.

Since 2005, the two sides have signed bilateral agreements in inspection work. They also exchanged visits and shared information and documents and cooperated in training in the field. The Vietnamese side offered seven training courses on basic professional knowledge to Cambodian inspection staff in recent years.-VNA
