Women’s unions of Vietnam and Cambodia should increase regular meetings to share experiences and conduct activities for development and advancement of the two countries’ women, said a Party official.

Ha Thi Khiet, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, made the suggestion during a reception for a delegation of the Cambodian Women for Peace and Development (CWPD) association, led by Senator Mean Sam Ann, member of the CWPD’s executive board.

Khiet, who is also Secretary of the Party Central Committee, congratulated Cambodia on its achievements in women’s affairs and improving the lives of its women and children.

Mean Sam Ann, member of the Cambodia People’s Party Central Committee, said women from Cambodia , Vietnam and Laos have enjoyed close relations and they need to boost cooperation and support for mutual progress during the current socio-economic development process.

CWPD is trying its best to implement commitments signed with the Vietnam Women’s Union in an effort to tighten the relations between the women and people of the two nations, the official added./.
